Purpose-driven. People-focused. Planet-aware.
Our Approach to CSRD & ESG
At IG&H, we believe business can be a force for good. As individuals, colleagues, and a company, we recognize our role in the wider world. Our choices and actions affect the communities we serve, the people we work with and the planet we share.
Using the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework, we give structure to our ambitions. It helps us focus, act and measure where we can make the greatest impact. To guide our efforts, we’ve aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals give us a global benchmark and local direction.

Our commitment to CSRD
To evaluate how we’re progressing and hold ourselves accountable, we follow the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). To reinforce this commitment, IG&H has established a Sustainability Board. This Board is composed of team leaders from various Impact Teams. These Impact Teams define objectives and action plans for the different ESG Focus Areas. IG&H reports annually on its progress in a sustainability report prepared in accordance with the requirements of the CSRD. The CSRD helps us reflect on two key questions:
-
How does IG&H impact the environment and society?
-
How do environmental and social factors impact IG&H?
These aren’t one-time reflections. They’re part of our long-term commitment to running a responsible, resilient and values-led organization.
Which SDGs does IG&H focus on?
We work in sectors that shape your daily life: healthcare, financial services and retail. We chose these SDGs because they reflect where we can create meaningful, measurable impact. They’re not just aligned with our values but aspirational to be fully embedded in our business and have been checked by our stakeholders. These goals push us to go further, towards the kind of future we want to help build.

SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) drives our inclusion and diversity efforts, helping us build a workplace where everyone can thrive.

Driving financial well-being together with NCFG
Did you know only 54% of Dutch households can pay all their bills without any problems? Or that people with financial stress are 2.5 times more likely to develop chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease? Financial well-being is a key driver of both mental and physical health. IG&H is a partner of The Netherlands Center for Financial Health (NCFG)—a public-private initiative working to halve the number of financially vulnerable households in the Netherlands by 2030. You can find more information on our partnership here.
